I do use antiperspirant. In fact, I normally use the strong “clinical strength” stuff (several brands, whatever is in stock). Some of it can be very irritating!
I’ve found that it’s very important to apply it ONLY on the actual armpit area (basically, where the hair grows), and to avoid over-applying. This eliminates the irritation for me. If I’m in too much of a hurry and apply it to the surrounding skin, that’s where I get irritated.
I realize the thread is mostly about natural deodorants, not antiperspirants, but several people mentioned irritation even with those. Maybe the same technique will help ….

NOBO...(no b.o.)
A fine mist spray glazes the skin with a barrier of Mineral salt. These Mineral salts naturally neutralize bacteria before it can cause odors. This is the perfect deodorant for those with sensitive skin and those seeking for a safe healthy solution to the deodorants at the store. Comes in an 8oz spray. Lasts for months. You can spray your pits, feet, hair. You can spray your tennis shoes, kids, dogs, cats.
