Certainly not been a Boaring week around here! Most folks have their power restored, but I know of several that still don't have their power back on.
Wednesday and Thursday were both with the Maggard boar in the Ever-Ready 150 handle, and PAA soap. The Schick Type I Hydro-magic did the job. That injector is hard to beat! I did try and experiment, but it didn't seem like anything I'd do on a regular basis. Essentially, one doesn't clean up the lather bowl, but just re-incorporate the remnant lather into the new lather.
This is how the bowl started out on Thursday morning. The blog I read this in stated that, when using a synthetic that also was not rinsed out, you can work up another shave's worth of lather from the previous day's loading. Given I used a boar (natural) knot, I didn't want to mess up the bristles. And given how much soap I have, why conserve?!
Today started a different boar and razor combo.
Plus, leaving lather in the bowl decreased my appreciation for the colors of the bowl!
