All boar perspectives welcome.I feel like I lucked out and grew up in the hey day of Saturday morning cartoons. My children didn't know the joy of that, as Saturday morning had already turned into 24/7 access on NickToon, Cartoon Network, and Disney Channel. It's just another example of instant gratification these days.
Don't worry about thunder. My only thunder comes after cabbage soup.
Of course, I learned much later about the 'business model'. Growing up, I always imagined GI Joe, HeMan, and what not sold all of these toys because the cartoons were such a success. However, the truth is, they made the cartoons to promote the toys they already planned. Weird reverse marketing that really worked, IMO.
Them days are gone. Ooh well.

That is the perspective I had on the Saturday morning cartoons my younger sister watched, several years after I had been the one plopped on the floor with a bowl of cereal! It seemed toys were promoting cartoons as well as kids's breakfast cereals.
The fare I was subjected to was the original Scooby-Doo (pre-Scrappy, but getting into special guests, like the Harlem Globe Trotters), Land of the Lost, Justice League, etc. Some were live action, others cartoons. The classic Loony Tunes was on early, like at 7AM or something. So my brother typically slept through those!

My aluminum Overlander got a new outfit just in time for the Holidays!
During the Black Friday weekend, I realized I'd made a mistake with my aluminum Overlander purchase. I wondered why mine didn't have the matching tip that others had. And when I looked up my order, I found I'd not selected the Knopf handle. Well, that is remedied now! And Paul had been mentioning Aspen Parkland by MacDuffs Soap Company, so it was chosen as the soap today!

Thanks, Mike. That Tatara Semogue boar is sort of stout, but it lathers well! And I chose it for the dark handle, to sort of match the Overlander. Good eye!

If I may drop back in the discussion for a moment ... Speaking of marketing and media, props of a questionable sort to Barbie:
