From mrdoug, a droppable shave mug! Thanks so much, Paul!

And from Trotter Handcrafts, Quasar and a 26mm boar knot. Thanks Paul T Stubble Daddy

As with almost all Trotter handles, my photo doesn't do it justice! I am leaning towards a mixed badger/boar knot and will hold the boar in reserve!

I'm really glad you like it, Eric. Doubly glad miracles happened and it arrived BEFORE, Christmas.

Hope you have a Very Merry Christmas.

Miraculously, my Maggards boar knot came in early (this morning). So, I set it this morning. With a little luck, it'll be completely dried and ready to break in on Wednesday. It should be in serviceable condition by time the final DecemBoar shave (Friday). Another deserved honor for a greatly appreciated handle.

BTW, the Maggards knot seems very nice. I'm hoping it lives up to the hype in use and can be a permanent fixture in this handle. The Hexagon deserves the best.

The last purchase of 2021 showed up, a beginner's strop from Razor Emporium. My first thought was, "man, no hardware," and was followed by, "and it looks so small!"

I carefully hung it from a doorknob and "practiced" with the straight, using only the spine. I believe this will work for me. I do want to get some hardware on the "hanging" end to make it stable. For $25, I am ok with it, as so many comments online are made about how you will most likely ruin your first strop, so don't buy an expensive one!

There is a purchase from the 1st week of December that hasn't made it here yet, a Jade brush from Connaught. I think the holidays and other obstacles have delayed it. Peter at Connaught says I need to wait 50 days from "dispatch" until we can call it lost. The lesson I learned is that I should have paid for tracking. I wasn't thinking about that, as tracking is typically a given with USPS or UPS, but I should have, given this is coming from another country (one separated from us by a common language!).
