That boar looks likes it already splitting its ends, nice! If I recall, you don't do any of those ice water soaks but just use the thing after a test lather or two. I have 4 nice boars already, but I don't have whatever this knot is (Zenith or Omega?). I will not go to the Stirling site. I will not go to ....   Big Grin

Thanks! I think.

And I just rewatched your video on it, and yup, straight out of the box and very soft. Nothing like a good boar. I went searching for the Tatara boar in the dark handle to match my Masamune, but find the loft a little too low. Not at all pokey, and it is a Semogue, but between the shorter loft and the weight, I may move it on and pick up a Stirling!

This loft could be higher for me but then you'd lose the backbone some too I guess. You may prefer the 31mm if the loft is higher. While this could be higher it still works for me. Hope you find a good fit !

Thanks for pointing that out. As there are only 3 left, I am going to pass. The three boars I do have work great and have lofts greater than 55mm, so I know what I like! Once you mentioned the shorter loft, I watched more carefully and I could see it had a more controlled splay. Me and too much backbone don't get along! I may not be full on floppy, but I do like less backbone, ha ha!

Edit: posted last night and just had the shave. These Poland Wizamets shave most like the current stash I have about 1,000 of. Sharp and SMOOOOTH as can be. Are they better than what I have? I don't think so but they are on par after the first shave. Very thankful to the generous Vesper for giving me the chance to try these !
