Been too long since using my Vintage Single edge razors. The Gem Junior is a favorite and ths morning reminded me of a FACT. It gives an amazingly smooth and efficient shave. I get the allure of the pretty new machined razors in all the exotic metals. Hey I have a few too. But if you can't shave with one of these and get a good shave, I guarantee you that a $300, $400 or $500 Razor isn't going to shave you any better. Technique trumps tools. Have a great day Everyone !

Scentsless Shaver
Oakland, ME
Hey Dave! I have been feeling that hankering to use my GEMs, the Junior and the Damaskeene specially, for that very reason you state. So smooth. I have been using mostly modern DEs of late, which like you I enjoy, but those vintage injectors and GEMs are smashingly good!

It was a good reminder shave to me for sure.

I had the same idea as Eric after seeing Dave's shave.  My shave of the day, which I just posted, was actually a mid morning shave.  It has been a busy day, but a good one.

Obviously I am way late on commenting on this video. I watched it when it originally came out and just watched it again. Congratulations on formally recognizing the 5 year mark although I understand that it coincided with at a difficult day of remembrance. And I hope the new career adjustment is continuing to work well.
I have occasionally thought about whether I could ever return to a more traditional role working for a company or group. But, I may have gone completely feral at this point Smile

Have a wonderful Thanksgiving and thank you for all of the guidance provided, directly, and through your videos.
