Thanks, I'm not being a smart aleck but there are many that I can get as good or better shaves with. This is NOT to disparage the Ti Blackbird at all. Pics to follow of just a few I grabbed and thought to myself, yes this fits the bill of as good or better. There are others as well if I dug into the pile. Some of these are pricey (I got good deals on them all and all were cheaper than the Blackbird but might be hard to source as cheap as I did) with the exception of the ugly 50's Aristocrat (Not sure exact year) which shaves amazing and can be found cheap enough. In order of pics.....Gillette Executive (A DREAM to shave with for me), 30's Aristocrat pictured cased with the 50's Aristocrat uncased, Gratiot Krect Spiral Curve Slant and for SE's Schick Type O Clone which is IDENTICAL in every way so as to be made from left over parts or at the same manufacturer but without the Schick Stampings as far as I'm concerned (I owned both at the same time and compared them. I kept the Clone.

Thank you for taking the time to share these images and razors. Each of one those could send me down a rabbit hole. Smile I have been stalking a few different schick types on ebay but had not fully considered O and O clones. I will definitely revisit that. I have avoided pursuing vintage razors in general out of lack of knowledge in various models and handling. The BB Ti is a wonderful razor but I believe I am dancing at the edge of the efficiency envelope of that razor, at least for a couple of my most demanding regions. So I had been considering alternatives that might bump up the efficiency. Given the price point of some of the modern alternatives it feels like revisiting a compelling vintage offering could make sense.

Many say from the Schick L on are the same so maybe get an L which would be cheaper to investigate before the money for the O Happy2

rocket I don't know how I forgot one of my favorites......the Shake Sharp razors by GE Jones. They take a double edge razor blade (I stack 2 together which firms it up more) but you only use one side at a time as it's an SE razor. The shave by the full metal ones is devine and smooth. They can be had for around $50 depending on condition if you are patient and shop a deal.

Very interesting and cool razor that I was not aware of. I guess I have a new ebay search term Smile BTW, I posted in the SE forum that I purchased what appears to be a Canadian E3 Schick injector today. For $17 and relatively decent condition I had to grab it.

I'm not good with the minor differences but that's a desirable model I believe and that's a great deal. Congratulations!

I enjoyed the commentary on this one and interesting to hear your thoughts on not keeping the Blackbird Ti. Full disclosure, Fickle Dave saw a Ti Blackbird in a BST priced where I couldn't resist and have it coming now Rolleyes

Hey, if you don't need the stand (if it has one) there is a WTB open in the BST...  Angel

I really, really like the titanium Vector. Enjoy!

Got it without a stand. Heard some weren't fitting right with the Ti Blackbird and it wasn't a matching metal/finish so just got the razor. Thanks Eric
