Razor: Timeless .95 SB
Blade: Wizamet (1)
Brush: Rubberset 400/Cashmere
Soap: T&S Sicily 1508.5
AS 1: Humphrey's Alcoholado Maravilla 70
AS 2: T&S Sicily
Fragrance: Penhaligon's Sartorial
Got the 68 and 95 Timeless baseplates and a top cap in from Mike HighSpeed to experiment with. The 1st thing I was curious about was how I got along with the .95 SB Timeless and we got along like best friends with today's shave. I was working on VERY little sleep and wanted to save the real experimenting for another day. I had owned the 68 in OC before and it was nice but as a daily shaver the OC wasn't needed and I didn't reach for it much. The SB wasn't quite efficient enough for me and it got sold. I always figured the .95 would be too much for me but always read about how smooth it was for others. Well the .95 SB is a winner and thoroughly enjoyed the shave. The other test is using the .95 plate with the Asylum 17-4 handle and top cap as Mark Shavemd did. This is 1 of the solutions some have tried since the machine shop missed the numbers on the baseplates making them unshavable. On install it sure shows a blade not only with healthy exposure, but also at a fairly straight position rather than some curvature as it protrudes. We shall see how that goes perhaps tomorrow. Have a great day and Stellar saves Gents !!
