Lol. That would be quite the feat... if I'm correct, AC blades are quite a bit wider than DE blades. Time to break the blowtorch out.

Yeah, I don't see it happening either, wait, what?!?! Did someone say blow torch ? Big Grin

Razor 1: Fuzzy Catcher
Blade 1: Gem (2)
Razor 2: SHaDE Tech
Blade 2: Astra SP (1)
Brush: Mr.EE LE
Soap: Baron's Choice
AS 1: Humphrey's Alcoholado Maravilla 70
AS 2: Skin Bracer
Fragrance: Dragonsbeard

Got the knot set back in the Mr. EE Limited Edition Handle and it's staying put now. Silicone did the job without needing epoxy. Love the heft of this solid aluminum handle. Went with the pleasant scent of Baron's Choice for a great lather.

As you can see we had 2 razors listed. 1st up was the Fuzzy Catcher which is a 3d printed lather catcher. Did my with the grain pass and could tell it held the blade secure. It has a good angle to make it actually feel like the original for me. It was a tad more aggressive feeling though. I think tis was that the blade was difficult to get into the slot for the blade stops and was sitting just above the slot. Also the pronounced blade stops where uncomfortable as the were substantial. That may be needed to secure the blade but it makes it uncomfortable to me. All in all though a cool print of a piece of history.

I decided to use my rough draft of a SHaDE razor for pass 2 and 3. SHaDE stands for as I'm told (Single edge Half a DE blade) I didn't come up with the idea but the few I've seen were cool and I wanted to try my hand a making one. This shaved exactly as expected from using a single side of a tech razor. The half a blade still retains a strong clamp on it for a comfortable shave. This although an ugly razor as I chose a cheap and rough specimen for the experiment. This was too prepare for another that I have been wanting for some time. Should have held on to my Raise Flat Bottom razor I sold and have wanted another. I haven't been willing to pay the price of the ones I've seen that were in need of replating due to wear. I saw one pop up on the bay for $20 with a broken tooth on the end. PERFECT candidate for this modification. I get the shave from a RFB razor at a steal of a price and a "one off" in looks. Who else in their right mind would do that to their RFB razor ? Well unless they broke a tooth on one too. Big Grin

A long work day today but I'll get thru it as I think about my taxes are done and I'm told to expect a hefty return this year. WooHooooo !! Have a Stupendous Day everyone !!

That came out so nice Dave. Glad to see it retains it's smooth shave. I wonder if a polishing would get it back in display worth order, or if it really needs replating (or a priest)?

The biscotti looks like just what the doctor ordered for a successful Monday. Have a good one!

That printed lather catcher scares the heck out me. The SE tech on the other hand is super cool. Hope you’re having a great day, Dave!
