Beautiful I-type find! Is it solid aluminum with brass?

Thanks Chris, ended up with 6-8 inches total.

It's a Type F not an I. Made for @6 months from 1940-41 and pretty sure the handle is solid aluminum and a brass head. Little polishing brought it up nice enough I don't feel the need to send it out fr a remake. I'll do a little more another time. Hands started to hurt from the little polishing I did due to arthritis.

Nice work. I hear you, brother, on the arthritic hands. Several years ago, I went to a doctor, wanting to rule out carpal tunnel syndrome. X-rays showed "advanced multifocal osteoarthritis in both hands.

And that is a lot of heavy looking snow, like" heart attack" snow. We had rain all day and lost all the snow.

Got it in all my joints. Curse from my mother and her side of the family...........

Razor: Carbon Cx Minus (-) Plate
Blade: Wizamet (1)
Brush: Rubberset 400/Maggards Tuxedo
Soap: Lakewood Soaps Sweet Orange Chili Pepper
AS 1: Humphrey's Alcoholado Maravilla 70
AS 2: Terre D'Hermes Spash
Fragrance: Terre D'Hermes EDT

1st outing with the Carbon Razor. VERY well built and close tolerance machined stainless steel razor. Nice balance and feel. Blade hangs over the edges if that's a problem for you (not a concern for me) I used the .71 Minus Plate. Mild smooth shave. I like the narrow head design but I got a lot of audible feedback telling me what you can see is the blade is held further back and not close to the cutting edge. Usually not something I like as I prefer rigid held blade razors. Not getting into a debate on this. I know what works for me. That said I am going in with an open mind and seeing what the results are for me. No blade feel and a smooth shave. Not one of my closer shaves but a good one. Stepping up to the Plus (+) Plate tomorrow which has the .88 gap. Sorry about the poor audio. Chinese auxiliary micophone clearly was a waste and made it worse than just using the devices microphone. Have a great day everyone !!!

Looks like you got along with that Gap fairly well. Carbon makes some very nice razors and they are very good to deal with.
Hey just sitting here thinking if you could hook it up I've got a few CB microphones you could try, you would  just have to key it and say breaker breaker. Lol
Just being silly as you know.

Forgive me in advance if I don’t exchange Holiday Greetings with you as my family and I don’t celebrate the Holidays. I don’t want to appear rude to your well wishes and I obviously wish you all the best. We choose to Honor Christ as our Lord and Savior differently. I hope you all enjoy time off to rest and be with family/friends safely in person or on Zoom Etc. Have a great day Everyone !!

Merry Christmas Dave - belated but sincere.  A few days ago, I ran across a facebook post from a pastor friend of mine.  It showed a plain drawing of a manger and three wise men approaching.  The caption read "The first Christmas was pretty simple.  It's okay if yours is too."

It was great! Thanks!

Yea...a video, finally! There’ll be another for at least the inaugural Henson shave too later this week. Excited to try it...and to dig into my whiskey sampler too!
