Soap Slinger
Burnsville, MN
Fall is one of my favorite seasons. The air gets crisp and the smell of turning leaves fills the air. So to celebrate my favorite season's return, I'm going to bring back two scents that have also been favorites.

Returning Shaving Scents - Available 10/1

Autumn Morning
Autumn Morning is perhaps my favorite scent I've ever made. The coffee, dry leaves and lilies just smell like fall to me. It seems that the same is true for many of you - our poll on the subject was overwhelmingly in favor of the return of Autumn Morning.

Ouroboros
People really liked Ouroboros! I was surprised, but gratified. And I have listened. I've been getting ready to release the scent again, this time with a full line. Bath soap, shaving soap, and Scale Polish are all planned, and lotion is a possibility, if people are interested.
Ouroboros combines sandalwood, sweet orange, and Egyptian musk for a warm scent.

New Bath Soaps
We've expanded our bath soap line, to include some scents that were honestly long overdue.
  • Sakura

  • Helios

  • Lavender

  • Bubbly Wubbly Soapy Woapy Stuff in light blue, with an apple/rose scent.

  • Tiamat and Signature bath soaps are also being restocked.

Announcing Scale Polish Samples
We'll now be offering samples of our popular Scale Polish line of aftershave gels. Quarter-ounce samples will be $2.50

It has been a while since I had used my DapperDragon Autumn Morning but the weather here in San Diego is finally back to normal after a couple of heatwaves so it was time to renew my acquaintanceship with it.  The scent was perfect for an autumn morning and the performance is superb.  Lathering could not have been easier.  For me, this is a keeper. Autumn Morning Review:  bottom line would I buy this soap again...  YES!  Very few soaps get me excited enough to write a review, this is one of them.

Scent:  Website description, "Autumn Morning combines the rich smell of coffee with Brazil nuts, spicy dry leaves, late blooming lily, green notes and sweet citrus for a scent to keep you warm as the frost starts to form."
  • My first impression.  It is sweet, so my nose picked up the lily and citrus notes before anything else.  I did not detect the coffee at all but I did get a light background of nuts.  Without telling my wife anything about the scent I asked her for an impression.  She said she really liked it (this is only the second soap in my entire collection she likes so that is huge) and then followed up with how it made her feel like fall or the woods.  Unreal, she actually picked up on the objective of the scent.  In summary, we both agree that this scent is beautiful and I would have a hard time understanding why the majority of the public would oppose this scent.  It is robust, kind and agreeable.  Well done Eric.

Lather Quality:  Not a thick puffy lather but more of a low profile yogurt (which is my preference).   The lather was very protective and left no weepers or sore spots thus resulting in an above average post shave feel.  It is plenty slick for most applications and has its own unique character to it.  In other words it is a nice addition to the portfolio of your den.

Scale Gel:  for me this was the star of the show.  It is a true gel and not a thick balm.  My face is not shiny and wet after the application.  I love a good aftershave but none are as nourishing as this gel.  It just feels nice, cool and spa like.

Final Thoughts:  I look forward to the Christmas releases from DD.  I think he has Kringle and some other offerings every year (or it could be something different this year).  I will now be a reoccurring customer.  PS- Eric did not talk to me about this review or compensate me in anyway.  I bought these items from Etsy.

I couldn't agree more about your assessment of the soap. I have yet to try any of Eric's Scale Gels but they seem to get universally praised.

Does anyone know if Obi Hill will return? Or any of the other limited scents (Kringle, etc.)?
