I was "bullied" by this owner on another shaving site when I first got back into traditional wet shaving. Used to have a lot of his soaps. Needless to say, his products are no longer in my den, nor will they ever be.
I will not elaborate, nor add anything else. Please, no speculation.

It's simple marketing.  Vendors only want glowing golden 5-star reviews.  Anything less than perfect and the review is a detriment.
If feedback isn't honest and truthful, then it's worthless.  Marketing has supplanted integrity.
Sad but true.

TSN is beyond bad for this... DFS is much more uncensored from what I can tell and that’s how it should be... TSN you’ll get banned for giving negative reviews of a sponsor, that forum is nothing but tire pumping bull goose and others.

I’ve always found CRSW to be an excellent soap but over the past years others have come out and surpassed them, their products are great just others are better. I miss their old packaging, it had a cool old school look and feel to it, they had one of the best packaging on the market now they have pump bottles for the aftershave and the same plastic containers everyone else uses, they have blended in with the pack. Too bad, I still really like the Select V2 and I’m almost all done my supply of it.

Their soaps are good, but not the best. Deleting reviews is bad and suspicious. I'm done with this brand after I finish what I have.

I am glad to be a wetshaver in what is a "golden age." There are so many excellent products readily available with much convenience. If "A' doesn't work well for me, for whatever reason, then "B" or "C" or, you name it, can usually be acquired. If some producers operate with less integrity than I prefer, I'm quite willing to spend my money elsewhere.

Slightly off topic. And for for those purveyors whose marketing methods are distasteful to me, I will also move on to other products.

You said it MaxP , there are plenty of artisans and vendors out there that produce/carry excellent products who also provide excellent service and have integrity that theres no need to deal with anyone who falls short. The market will drive out the bad actors over time.

That being said, I have had hands down the best experiences purchasing shaving supplies on line of any online shopping experiences.

I never got the wow factor from CRSW soaps. They are fine, they have nice scents but they are mostly run of the mill performance wise to me and many times I got much better performance from soaps that cost less. The fact that he has had SO many reformulations the past few years and now with big cost increases cracks me up. GLIDE! The slickest soap ever, reformulation 2.0.0.0.1.1.1.1.1! This is DEFINITELY the slickest ever, of all times even the cereal varnish Clark Griswold invented cant compete!! Now he is in the business of removing bad reviews? I'll avoid this vendor henceforth.

Thanks OP for this post.

CRSW aren't the only guilty one. PAA always delete negative reviews and have you noticed how there 80+ soaps all have virtually 5 stars!

Yeah there is another vendor on here that got caught doing the same thing. I used to try and give them the benefit of the doubt but there are just too many honest vendors out there to solicit a brand that does this kind of crap anymore. Just my prerogative. Anyone can do business with them if they like, but when I hear about the manipulation of reviews or any other behavior that I find unscrupulous it makes me question their other business practices too. What other shady things might they do? Who knows, but I'd rather not find out and take my business elsewhere.

Yeah but everyone expects him to do that since he's been caught "cheating" many times in the past. You know the old saying, a leopard can't change its spots. Once a liar and a cheat, always a liar and a cheat.

I've only had pleasant experiences with CRSW and PAA, but I understand others have not. I support both vendors, as their products are very good to my face, and they treat me well. I make my choices based on my own experience, and pay little attention to the views of others (except in a macro sense). If I didn't have great experiences with these vendors, I wouldn't support them. I respect those who don't, as they have reasons for their decision, and I'm no smarter than they are...
