Had my first shave with the Electric Blue Hawk + Schick Proline and all I can say is WOW. Very smooth and efficient, 2 pass with a little touch up BBS shave. I think I might add a little weight though by using the handle from my SS Mamba on the next shave. Looks like this razor is definitely a keeper for me.

I've seen many say they prefer the General to the Hawk and if the General does indeed give a better shave than it must be really nice because the Hawk hit the sweet spot for me on my very first shave.

Have you tried it with the Feathers yet, and how did they compare?

Not yet, first shave was this morning. I did buy a pack of the Feather Pros so I will try those after I get a few more shave with the Schick blade. Gotta say I am really impressed with the Hawk though.

After trying the General in aluminum and brass and the Hawk in aluminum and stainless steel, plus a number of other SE razors, I would have to say that either version of the Hawk and Schick Proline hit the sweet spot for me. 98% of my shaves over the last year were SE and 90 of the SE shaves were with a Hawk.

The Hawk is a fantastic razor.
I use it in rotation with the General and ATT SE1 and I  like it a lot.

I own both in their aluminum versions. to me, the hawk is more aggressive than the general. they both shave very close but I think they shave me 'too close'. people with sensitive skin that are prone to ingrowns know what I mean.

I ended up getting a Hawk and its been the best shave I have gotten so far in 2 years of wet shaving (ish) Thank you all for your advice.

I am thinking of getting the ATT SEI
I have both versions of the aluminum hawk and the first version of the El Jefe
While they are ok I want something more smoother.

As I mentioned (here or elsewhere), I have both Hawks, ATT SE1, General and had the Ikon MR-SE.
The latter was too aggressive for my liking: too much blade feel and blade gap.
The General is the least aggressive yet amazingly smooth.

About the ATT SE1 - this is a YMMV thing. It is more efficient than the General and Hawk and as smooth.
I think that extra efficiency comes from slightly more of blade exposure. If I am not mindful of the angel, my cheek gets a little irritated with it.
When I used Super Pro blades with it, it resembled the MR-SE but in a good tamer way, and because of the more pronounced blade, I was more careful and got a better smoother shave. On the other hand - I hate being afraid of my razor, so I am not seeing reaching for a Super Pro blade any time soon.

But what works for me may not work for you. The guy I sold the MR-SE to thinks it is the best razor ever but he loves aggressive razors with lots of blade feel.

Finally got around to using the Feather Pro's after 5 shaves with the Schick Proline. As good as the first couple of shaves with the Schick blade was the Feather was exactly the opposite. Absolutely one of the worst shaves I have had in a long time. The blade felt rough the entire time. I was wondering why some thought that the Hawk was aggressive and now I can see why it would appear that way because with the Feathers, to me it shaves almost like a different razor. Surprisingly, I was unable to get any kind of closeness on my neck area at all. I'm planning on giving the Feather another shot but so far it's not even close as far as which blade I prefer.
