COLD water shave

I have played around with ice cubes but didn't find it that much better if an experience than my cold tap water. I do, however, enjoy pulling out my Aqua Velva Ice Blue bottle out of the freezer from time to time.

I guess it's like any other liquor in the freezer. Arctic cold, while remaining liquid from a high alcohol content.

Well that's it I'm going to give this a go today. After a hot day here in the UK, which are rare, I'm having my first cold water shave which is a completely alien concept to me

I agree, it was strange. I had a warm shower, and my face went into shock with the cold water to start each pass lol. Also to note, this time I didn't sweat from the heat trapped in the bathroom and I kept cold water in my mug to chill my razor as I lathered up. To be honest, I don't know if I shaved closer with the cold water, but it felt good either way; the temp here has been very hot with high humidity. Another "cool" thing I noticed was feeling the razor cool my face while gliding on top of it. It was a very nice experience, and definitely something I'll be doing more frequently.

My face definitely prefers a cold water shave. I still heat up my brush, though.

Need to give this a try. I have washed my razor off with cold water accidentally and got quite a shock of the cold metal against my face which then felt good but have never tried a full on cold shave.

I have oily skin, so since cold water doesn't melt off my natural oils my body makes its own preshave.

I think cold water shaving is amazing. Especially for ingrown hairs and to cut down on irritation. Living in Canada it's hard to always do it in the winter but for the summer there is no question!
