I will post the below short handled first generation Blackbird for sale tonight with batch of blades for $100 + shipping. I paid $160 for the razor. It is in very good shape and I'm only selling because I recently made the transition to straights and won't use it anymore. I purposefully selected the mixed color scheme. Looks cool and the black baseplate contrast really helps you getting the angle dialed in as you can easily see it thru the lather. I understand this color combo might not be for everyone, but I really liked the way it looked on my stand. The silver was not polished when I bought it, but wth Shane Blackland's guidance, I used metal polish on the head to reduce the depth of the machine marks so that it would glide easier (which worked well). I think it looks very cool as it is, but if you wanted to, you could very easily polish the handle with any basic metal polish you can buy at Walmart for $5 or less. I didn't do that only because I was concerned about how slippery it might make the handle in my wet hands as it definitely made the head slippery.
I will post this in the DFS classifieds around 10:00 pm (cst) tonight. So , if you are interested in grabbing it now at the price I'm gonna offer it for, it's yours.
