Cleaning Razor Heads and Handles

Some of my razor handles develop areas of dullness or fading of their color, and the razor heads get white lather deposits on some edges, so it has become my weekly practice to use a spare toothbrush and dish soap to restore the looks of the handles and heads.  This was suggested to me by Toby at Triad Razor Handles.  It works well on both colored and metallic surfaces.  

I do exactly the same thing but I do it after every shave because I usually use a different razor each day. I even do this with user grade razors whose finishes are far from pristine but which still give great shaves. While it certainly isn't necessary to do this daily, I don't find it a particular chore and my razors always look the best they can.

I have the ability to get small ultrasonics that work great for this. I wonder what the interest would be?

X2, but the toothbrush and a dip in iso alcohol works just fine for me.

I wash using toothpaste and soft toothbrush. Then would just tap off the water using a towel. Finally will remove soap and water mark using a lint free cloth, found with spectacle or sunglasses. Works well!

I use my wife's toothbrush. Ha! She's half my size and tougher than me. (Thus I don't use her brush).

Unfortunately, I cannot get them cheap enough to make it worthwhile. I would say you could buy them on the big A. I have a jewelry store, so I have an ultrasonic going all day, every day and I can keep my razors nice this way.
