Since there is so much interest about James razors, I open this thread. No need to destroy each ad that contains a BBS-1 razor. There are so hard to obtain that people get crazy, we see ridiculous reactions.

About the "fakes". There are NO fakes, unless a member posts a photo of one. Most of the members stating this have no idea what they're talking about or simply read a comment about it from a person who doesn't know. Like Navarrsky said, there are too many original Wolfmans in Russia that people think they must be fake. Guess what. There are rich people in Russia like in every other continent. This is not a cheap hobby and people spend money on it, especially if they have to spend.

Unfortunately, BBS-1 is discontinued. I now have second thoughts.

I have 3 James razors( secondary market). It's extremely difficult to obtain one from James.

Again the BBS-1 isn’t discontinued, James is going to be reselling it on his site.

Fargo is correct. The bbs-1 is discontinued as is. James will be rereleasing the razor but it will be modified (for the better according to him) and probably released under a different name. This is not speculation. This is from direct communication with him. So for purists who want an original bbs-1 there will be a market. Just like the difference between the paradigm ti 1 and ti 2.

I do not know enough about wolfman to know if there are fakes are not. I do know there is concern in spending that much on a razor and not getting scammed. I think it’s a legitimate question for people to know and see the number of the razor as people will pay more for lower numbered razors. I think Your post Fargo got unnecessary hate but it didn’t help that you didn’t respond to legitimate questions and that your private messages are blocked. How is someone supposed to make an offer or get more information if they can’t contact you?

Modified... you mean choice of blade gaps like the Wolfman and design changes will be choice of metals.

And for the record I don’t have an issue with what people resell these razors for, it takes a lot of time and frustration to get one, many wait a year or two and some even longer just to get it, I don’t see an issue if someone is wanting something for that, I also get why someone would pay a bit over retail to void having to go through that.

He didn’t go into exact details but it sounded like there will be a single New version (let’s call it the bbs-2) and should eventually be available in SS and ti. I do not believe there will be multiple gap option like with the wolfman line of razors but I could be mistaken.

Thank you for your interest in the BBS-1 razor. The razor will be begin to be sold at wolfmanrazors.com in the coming months, after some review of the design and options.

More information will be sent to you as it is available.

There’s nothing there that’s saying the BBS-1 will be discontinued, just look at the road the Wolfman went down, at first it was the standard gap then later added more aggressive and mild options, that’s a design review... I can see that’s the same evolution the BBS-1 will go, options I see as metal choices. We’ll find out soon enough but to say the BBS-1 as we know it today is done and discontinued isn’t true, at least until we know what’s happening

The BBS-1 says LASSCO on it with a logo. Since it won't be sold by LA Shaving Co. any more, being sold instead directly by Wolfman, certainly one must think that would be a change.

I agree--the BBS-1 as we know it is discontinued.

Wasn’t the blade gap on the BBS-1 larger than anything offered on the WR1 due to the different head geometry?
Won’t that be tough to choose since it’s never been done in that specific head type?
Just curious.

As for those saying it’s almost impossible to get s razor from James. I saw them go in and out of stock twice yesterday afternoon.

Based on the respective websites, Ford has discontinued making the 2017 Mustang and Ferrari discontinued the 458 (much loved vehicle of the hosts on Top Gear). I do understand Ford is making a 2018 Mustang and Ferrari is making the Ferrari 488 (GTB and Spyder). I am assuming both are "new and improved versions".
