I would say Diamondback is as smooth but more efficient. Definitely heavier, I prefer the handle on CF Ti. More angle choice with the DB.

This is not so much preference advice as it is a cutting requirement. Riding the safety bar will not cut hair. a standard 30 deg angle wont do much either. I had a 3 pass, irritation free shave which lead to a DFS+ shave. I attribute the subpar results to my lack of experience with this unique head geometry. Ill give it a shot again tomorrow, but If I'm being honest I have a Sailor, ti vector, ti carbon++, and a custom 1.20 gap wolfman all simultaneously on their way to me within a month. I will likely not keep this razor If I cant improve my technique to get good results.
So efficiency wise it seems to be on the milder side.
How about the smoothness, how does it compare to the RS10 and the Ti2 in your experience?
RS-10 aggressive plate is more efficient, and equally comfortable for me. mild plate is comparable to the CF, but the RS-10 is less picky about the angle.

Wow, that says a lot!

+1
Nice first shave w the CF razor.
Slim head, relatively mild, need to ride the cap to a certain degree.
Overall very nice comfortable shave. Was able to get a bbs in 3 passes with a Feather blade.
I’m not sure what the finish is but the handle has a purple color when the light hits it the right way.
Handle ergonomics were fine for me. The newer handles look more intriguing, however.

This morning I used Williams Mug soap and a Semogue owners club badger. Used the same Astra Superior platinum blade. This time my usual two passes. Great results. Minor blade feel but an incsredible smooth and close shave. Because the razor weighs only 2 oz I was able to zip through two passes in several minutes. I am going to continue to use this razor for the rest of the week and change blades after five shaves. Next up will be the dreaded Feather blade. To me this razor shaves better then the Carbon razor using the original plate and the ++ plate.

Shaves better as in less blade feel with more efficiency? Does anyone know what the gap or exposure is?
