I just got out of a string of meetings myself and it does show as sold out. Congrats to both Shawn and Scott on the sell through and will look forward to the next batch! Great job gents.

Yeah, it sold out so much faster than either of us expected. I guess it would make sense that people were waiting on a soap, but I'm still pretty blown away.

Still, Scott and I are keeping our eyes peeled and we will be making a second batch if we hear about too many people missing out. Definitely don't want to leave a bunch of people out in the cold. I have extra fragrance blended and ready to send if that is the case.

Like Kev, as expected I missed out.. Ha-ha. It would be awesome if you do make some more; But congratulations man, your brand is earning recognition in our community, and I'm sure that's for a reason. I hope to get to try your products too one day.

Yup, I missed it as well I had some meetings and then poof gone. I sure hope you make more because I had been looking forward to this soap release more than any other soap and to miss it just hurts. According to Scott there are only 5 people who missed it and are voicing their misfortune on social media, and me makes 6 so I'm not holding my breath on this one. I'm not going to sweat it though, the way the wet shaving business has been going lately its pretty much par for the course to get shut out on anything remotely "special".

Yeah, it's pretty nuts considering that the demand went far beyond what any CL release has garnered so far. I am still pretty shocked. We sold what it took me two days to sell with the Colbeck release.

But that's six people who have spoken up in the hour since we put the call out. I'd imagine that we'll hear from more people, so I wouldn't worry about it too much. I'd imagine that once people get out of work we'll hear from more. So if we do hear from more, and I wouldn't be surprised if we do, maybe we should do an evening release the next time.

I've been chatting with Scott, and we are going to get a second run set up ASAFP. I'm sending some fragrance tonight expedited shipping. It will be the final run as our way of trying to make things right. I am keeping a list of all of those who have expressed a desire to get a hold of a tub and will be contacting each person directly in order to inform him or her of the exact specifics as the arise. I apologize for this, but having never done anything like this, there was no way to know the demand. We were worried that we may have overshot the demand and were planning ways to drive sales if we were sitting on extra stock. Obviously we were off, but now we've learned an important lesson.

Hey Shawn, that sounds great - whats the time required to make/cure/saponify the soap? I'm curious because I'm heading up to the wilds of the Yukon Territories (yes I know its a province now) and I want to know if its something I have to watch for while I'm away or if its something I can look forward to when I get back.

I think the champs de lavande fragrance is great and Scott ought to just add it to his line up. I have some of his bison tallow soap and while they perform great, he's got nothing that smells as great as CdL. We had some people over for dinner a week ago and I had a bottle of Champs de Lavande aftershave sitting on the counter and one of the guests (the young fellow who's wedding we're going to in the Yukon) picked it up and gave it a sniff. He was on his phone right away googling Chatillon Lux.

Keep on doing what you do Shawn, I for one appreciate your efforts and I believe I'm not alone in that sentiment
