Shawn, I may be wrong but I think this is the first time you've done a second annual release of one of your collaboration scent-soaps. Is this going to be the norm? One needs to know whether to nurse a soap along or use it with gusto. Obviously if we know there is more coming next year then gusto!Big Grin

That and the fact that the book The Oregon Trail chronicled a journey with Henri Chatillon, one of the namesakes of Chatillon Lux, when he lived in harmony with a Sioux tribe (his first wife was the chieftain's daughter, Bear Robe) and guided the author through the trail. His accomplishments, which included felling two buffalo with one shot, led Herman Melville to call him "the most gallant man to ever kill a buffalo."

So it's especially apropos considering the prairie vibe that I was going for with CdL. I have to hand it to Scott, however, as it was totally his idea. The guy who designs our labels (EllisBMiller.com) really took the concept and made it even better than the first, however.

Ha, well, you give us too much credit assuming we plan things out that far! But I can say for sure that all of my regular scents will find their way into the L&L base again (or for the first time). That much is for certain.

That is good to hear, I like all of your scents and to have them all in Scott's awesome soap base would be very cool. I'd like to put a vote in for the next one in the line up being Fourth & Pine Smile

A bit of bad news: due to unforeseen circumstances, we must delay the release of the Pure Lavender LE to August 26. This will allow us to make a sufficient quantity and fulfill the orders in a timely and efficient manner.

Sorry for the delay, but we are working hard to take advantage of our new workspace and find new processes that enhance productivity and creativity. Any growing pains now will hopefully result in a better company and products in the long run.

Thank you for your support and understanding!

hawns, that is completely understandable and with a great product, the wait will be worth it to many.

On a side note, this morning I used my Stirling Soap Co. Unscented Beard & Pre-Shave Oil and their Unscented Aftershave Balm, along with an original Old Spice Shaving Soap in its mug that had long ago lost its scent (though the performance of the soap is amazing).  Basically, it was a shave that consisted of no scent, whatsoever.  However, to finish off the shave it was Chatillon Lux Rose Santal Eau de Toilette.  You know I have been a fan of this EdT since you let me have a sniff of it at the St. Louis Meet-up, before its official release, but having it be the only scent in my entire shaving routine this morning just blew me away.  It really is a different sensation than using it with scented products, even if those scents do not linger beyond the shave itself.  I shall, of course, continue to use it with scented shaving soaps but this was a real eye opener for me and made me appreciate what you do even more. Thanks, Freddy! That's awesome and I'm glad it holds up even better under closer scrutiny Smile

I have considered doing unscented shaves more often whenever I want to truly evaluate something in depth and should start doing this more often, myself. It's hard to resist the allure of the vast shave den, but I do sometimes wish I had a clearer picture during the opening of a scent.

Tomorrow at 10am Central at ChatillonLux.com we will have the next chapter in our Simplicity Series, Pure Lavender, a blend of four lavenders, including one grown here in St. Louis. Also, a small amount of Colonia Balsamica eau de toilette will be available, as well.

Will La Quatrième Ville or Omnostre be available in a shave soap?

Hi Shawn, will the Pure Lavender toner be re-stocked? I was out traveling and missed out on it. Follow up question is will either the toner or the aftershave be sold through any Canadian vendors?

Really stoked about the WK collab on YRP Big Grin
