It's been a while since I have posted anything here, I have been stalking though lol  Haven't bought anything of note to add to my den... until now! Big Grin

Just came in yesterday but I didn't have to shave until now.  It's a Charcoal Goods dual comb machined razor head with mild aggressiveness, with a Magnum handle with the hammered look to it, done in antique brass(matches the head) with the dark antique patina on it.  Also, that amazing wooden case that it comes in!  Charcoal makes them himself and I must say, they are amazing Big Grin

The handle is nice and heavy and very very easy to hang onto even with soapy hands.  The head holds the blade tightly and this is also my first dual comb razor.  I must say I have been missing out with this style of razor head, use the comb side for the easier areas and the closed comb for the touchy spots lol  I used a Voskhod blade, my go to's and some Tiki North Shore soap and my skin is very happy with me.  It went through my beard like butter, no irritation, no blood(well, one spot that always happens, I think it's a small mole or something I keep cutting off, but eh Tongue), and the angle was easy to find.  A light touch and let the weight of the handle do the work.

What I don't have pictured is my Charcoal Dual Helix handle I got back at the start of December, it was a birthday present to myself Tongue  Also love that, it's a lot smaller though, but that's okay Smile

Over all, I'm obviously very happy with this purchase and I can't recommend Charcoal Goods enough, great communicator as well with the discount for purchasing a razor and handle combo... I failed to enter the code that would give me the discount, but he emailed me with an hour and said he had refunded the money to visa Big Grin

I dig their packaging and products...I like the rustic look of the razor you posted above. I've also been following their packaging updates on instagram.

The best razor on the planet. I have a level 2 closed comb polished brass with stand and case. Nothing shaves like this razor and it is not fussy about blades.

I have the magnum brass handle (its beautiful) and am saving up for the machined heads. Brian is the most top-notch customer oriented person
I have dealt with in a long time. Through the various E-mails we exchanged, his knowledge and caring for the customer is impeccible.
hopefully word gets out about his great and beautiful products.

You think? lol I'll let you know more as I use it some more often and with different blades that I frequently use, Voskhods are my go-to, but they aren't the only ones I use.

You are right there, Brian is a great guy, even for the few emails I had with him. Told me when he was likely to start the razor head, as it was made to order to match the handle. I'll be stalking the sight for a while yet though, as he's working on a single edge razor! Big Grin

That surely is a beautiful-looking razor and wooden box! Congratulations.

I have wanted to try one of these shavers for awhile now, but the price is quite steep.
Does anyone know if they have any sort of return policy if you don't get on with the shaver?

What discount code? I'm planning on making a purchase in the next couple of months.

Do you like the weight of the magnum over the standard?
