That's what I was thinking. Or maybe have Yates keep making them and Brian keeps a royalty for each razor sold.

The way it is if Brian wants or needs to he can start production of razors again.
Of course it depends on if he still has his equipment and such.
He would probably raise the prices once reentered the razor business.
I don't know if he completely quit, retired and sold out?

The email he sent (which I believe was copied/ shown here…) said that he had retired at the end of 2022, and therefore he was selling all remaining stock.
No idea how many razors he had left in stock, but I believe they sold out fairly fast.
It look like his website is now closed as well.

No idea, I’m afraid. I can’t remember him mentioning anything about this in his email, so unless someone has had direct contact with him and has some more info, there is no way to know…

Instagram account deleted, website gone! I truly hope its a retirement with the view of making a return at some point in the future.
Brian's talent to combine fine art and machining to produce artisnal razors was truly one of a kind.

The retirement part is surprising , compared to just exiting the razor business, because he built a new shop after moving.

With as much hassle and investment he made with the new shop, he’s probably just done making razors and scooped up a few machining contracts.

Was very surprising to hear about this. I found it strange since I know he was in the process of setting up a shop to where he moved. Wish him all the best.

Question to the ladies and gents out there who own Charcoal Goods Gen 3, level 3 razors.

I remember years ago that Brian listed the V1 and V2 Level 3 as being equivalent to a Muhle 2011 which I found 2011 very efficient but irritating to my skin but I am able to use the 2013 Muhle R41, ATT H1 and H2, Cobra series razors, Karve E & F plates and Hensen +++ which is listed as aggressive without issues, Can someone who owns or use to own the 2013 Muhle R41, ATT H1 and H2, Cobra series razors, Karve E & F plates provide some feedback as to how smooth the Gen3 Level 3 is compared to the razors I mentioned.

Thank you for any feedback you provide.
