Regrettable that he's not offering top caps compatible with previous production. Maybe down the road.

I'm waiting for some thought on these new CG razors from you fine fellow shavers.
I'm expecting great things from these razors.

I'm waiting for USPS. I paid extra for priority, and they should have delivered two days ago.
Yesterday, it was out for delivery, still not received yet.

That kind of stinks.
Hopefully it's all good still and will show up tomorrow.

I’m sure Brian will make some down the road as log shop is Open.

Lastly as I say CG Gen1 Baseplates is where CG is at Happy2

I love Gen1, but Gen3 looks good, too. It has more detailed work than Gen2.
New Lv3 is getting excellent feedback in the other forums.
If he will offer new fancy handles in future, I think he is going well.
Also he reduced price from $235 to $185, when others increase.

Might have to wait and see where prices shake out. Everyday has increased since it's launch.

I can attest as Gen 3 is amazing. Level 2 & 3. Amazing smoothness.  More enjoyable than Gen 1 imo. If you like a smoother Gen 1 or Gen 2 then Gen 3 delivers. If you enjoy Ikon Tech blade feel than Gen 1 Lvl 3 is for you. I think Brian hit it out of the park. Grandslam!

Tonight’s shave is CG LvL3 Gen 3. Simply Fabulous.

I love Brian’s work and have enjoyed many great shaves with his razor’s in my collection, however, I do not like loading a blade on the baseplate. I definitely will try one, but I wish he would have kept a top plate load.

I have done three shaves with the gen 3 level 3 using an Astra SP. Incredibly close and very smooth. Very impressive and the top cap now covers the end tabs completely so no chance of ear scraps. The only minor annoyance is you have to load the blade on the bottom plate which is the same as the Stirling SS.
