Even if it hadn't already been confirmed, you can tell Brian didn't make it because he would never let the tip of a star on the handle get that close to the handle grooves. He was much more detail-oriented than that.

I dunno Shane, that sounds way too subjective. I think we should stick to facts here…
I think it’s pretty clear that Brian is actually in China making these razors by hand. When the time is right he will return to the US with a big announcement confirming that he was making these all along, along with a legal filing allowing him to share in the secondary market profits when all the buyers put them up for resale at 2-3x the price because they’re clearly way more valuable given this announcement. He’ll then buy WCS and hire a team of writers to develop additional obfuscatory listing descriptions on future releases.

Well played, jesseix !
I compared my Gen 3 Brass Everyday CG on a side by side shave with this new WCS, with the assumption that they should be very similar. While they are, the WCS has noticeable more blade feel. It also appeared to be more efficient on the first pass, but by pass three both sides of my face and neck were equally close. I prefer the CG, but do not regret buying the WCS, particularly with the intro discount and a coupon I had.
My impression: great razor for the price. I do not own a gen 1 CG, and doubt will ever be able to procure one. This is a pretty cool acquisition in that respect. Additionally, while I will not take my CG razors with me while I travel, I will happily take this and get great shaves. YMMV!
