I ordered one as well. The handle alone made the purchase worth it for me.

was scheming about mating this excellent looking handle with the new paradigm head
that's coming out. Only concern is messing with the paradigm's balance.

One shave in with the Patriot razor. It’s a good shaver. Machining is good. I found it to be exactly as described, a lvl 1.5, right between a lvl 1 and 2.

Also the head is much more similar to a CG gen 1 than gen 3.

One final thought, especially for a razor with this theme, my recommendation to the seller is to be upfront about where it is made.

I believe Brian is machining these stainless steel razors for WCS. I once bought a level 2 razor from WCS about 7 years ago but a little too mild for me. I don't believe for one moment Brian is retired. Look for WCS to have more CG razors in the future with a WCS logo. The handle with the stars and stripes was made in honor of Brian's Grandfather who was in the Navy.

Based on what? If that was the case you would think WCS would want to include it in the marketing. IIRC WCS found an independent shop to machine the previous batch of razors designed by CG.

Just saw a reddit thread where a member confirmed via email with WCS that the latest run is being made in China

Psyhic powers. Brian has been dealing with WCS for years. Brian has moved three times in last seven years due to his wife being a contract RN. If you remember he purchased space to build his machine shop and put a ton of money into it. Brian is a highly skilled machinest. My opinion based on a long conversation I had with Brian some years ago tells me he is still around. That razor WCS is selling is Brian's handy work.

Email WCS if you don't believe us. It's been confirmed in several places as machined in China. If Brian was still machining razors we'd know about it.
