After a long 3 yrs of search here is my finnaly Headset that I had once Gen1 Lvl2 SS..this is very hard to obtain and it’s like finding a needle in Haystack.

Polishing this headset was challenge while preserving everything on it such as step-over edge and engraving under the baseplate that was done by Brian Twiley.

I did darken the letters using special black paint for SS and there is a process the way I do it..overall it looks amazing just the way I wanted it!

I’m quite happy I got reunited with my CG Gem that I had and somethig my mother bought me back in good ol CG days when it was available with limited run….they were sold immediately right after release how fast they were gone..and sadly never been made ever again by Brian..

I cannot confirm exact number how many were made but I can confidently say not many were availabe in this particular headset!!

Hope you like  Happy2

Beautiful work, Alan. It must have taken you quite some time polishing the handle.

It was defintely hair pulling process with special tools and days of work to be meticulously done just the way I wanted to be..I wanted that extra step for it’s finish and shine Happy2

This is what’s about that nice touch and combination and it’s a skill wasn’t easy on my hands to do it as it took days to be done….but this is the result Happy2

Thank you for kind comments!

Alan, what's with the pebbled looking texture on the before original finish?  Is that bead blasting?? I notice that some of it remained on the after version of the inner top cap. It must have gone pretty deep.

Well you can be assure nothing has gone deep on stepover etc…this is finish under the beadblasting and under the baseplate I went very light on it as we don’t we don’t want to affect deep engraving etc..

Texture on Step over it plays like a grip for the blade and on top of the baseplate nothing was affected…

All was executed to perfection  Happy2

[Image: 0xv1Aur.jpg]That is preserved texture which you never want to touch or play with if it’s there…[Image: SNCqW0k.jpg]Polishing Top Cap took 3-4 days for me in between fyi
