The titanium + and ++ plates are NOT
available yet. They are still 2 weeks out. The stainless plates look to be an option to purchase with the stainless less head razors. One of the stainless head razors has always been available with a titanium handle.

We have been dark for a while but make no mistake we continue to listen to your feedback and comments as much as we can, these new base plates are a result of that feedback. We made a small run of these base plates and added them to our site over the weekend to offer our customers.

I wanted to share a photo we posted on Instagram that shows the changes we made with these new base plates, for those who have a technical perspective it shows more detail about the new designs(gaps and exposure). We thought it might help ground those involved in the pass around with what dynamics were changed and what they are feeling and experiencing...

A few updates:
* We plan to have a small run of these new plates in Titanium in the next 2 weeks

* I'll follow up with the moderators but the thought was to swap the stainless version with the Titanium version(and new base plates) when ready. We were thinking of also including the Ti/Carbon fiber handle as another option for you guys to check out. With this handle it brings the Cx-Ti down to 38grams. Freaky light!

Thanks again to all those who supported us this weekend, for those who are checking out these new plates in the pass around and to all those members on this forum, thank you....your feedback and comments are greatly appreciated.

Sean please don't swap the SS base plates for the Ti in this pass around. With your ultra thin head design, and light handles, I feel like a full Ti head would be too light, and will give me a bad impression of your razor. I'd rather test the SS heads.
Same goes for the handle, not everyone likes ultra light Smile
Thanks

What are the blade exposures of ++ and original?

In his website, it is noted that
Blade Gap: ++ > + > Original
Positive Blade Exposure: ++ < + < Original
All plates use same top cap, I think that top surfaces of the plates are same, I mean all have same blade angle.
He might only changed the design of bars to change blade gap and exposure.

I tried all plates, I can easily say "++" is more efficient than Original plate.
My question: ++ has less blade exposure and same blade angle; however it is more efficient, How?
Maybe blade contact angle to skin?

Great info Sean and, as you know, there are several of us salivating over the + and ++ titanium razors.

CK89 - blade exposure is such a small measurement and we don't publish it. But a range would be .1mm to .2mm...to put that into perspective a human hair is about .1mm.

Senate515 - we are planning some other material with these plates. A little early to communicate but we are close...it creates a little challenge now with the multiple plates. I still like mixing the material which helps with this planning...

shaveSymptomatic - No problem not swapping them out...I'll work with the moderators. I totally get the weight preference and don't want that to be a factor(thanks for calling that out).

As we plan I thought it might be good to note that we don't want to offer too many options of plate choice...I think 3 is the magic number. Open to feedback but I think more choices gets confusing...I currently communicate the following on our site:

*Some notes to help you pick your Base Plate:

Original Base Plate -  This is our current design configuration. It’s still my personal favorite and has a .68mm with positive blade exposure. This design offers a lot of user control with positive blade exposure. For a milder shave, you can change the angle or “ride the cap” for sensitive parts like the neck. For other areas, you can still have a good amount of efficiency.

+ Base Plate -  We reduced the blade exposure and increased the gap to .88mm. This is a nice option if you only shave every 2-3 days, as the larger gap allows for this. Early feedback has been positive for those that prefer less blade exposure, but enjoy the efficiency of a larger gap.

++ Base Plate -  This one is for those who like a very efficient option. This plate is still with positive blade exposure, but has less exposure than the + Base Plate. This razor has a larger 1.08mm gap. If you have thick hair and shave every 4-5 days or just like an efficient razor, this would be the one.

I plan to update this based on yours and customer feedback...
