No sir, you didn't miss it.

The Carbon Ti is beautiful, just as other's have said. I particularly like the contrasting color on the bottom of the baseplate. The script is sharp/crisp and on the greyish background makes it much easier to read. Nice touch. The all Ti handle is very nice in length, grip, and perfect balance. I rather liked the packaging with the sack and tube. It's different, in a good way.

It seems the only thing I didn't like was...the shave. I used the ++ plate with a Feather blade with a couple of uses. It is very smooth with little blade feel. It just did not cut very close. With work, I did get a BBS shave but my stroke count musta been sky high and the shave lasted around 6 hours...no what I really expected from the most efficient ++ plate. The results could have been user error. Maybe those heads benefit from cap riding which is something that is counter intuitive to my style. I read somewhere the Carbon was compared to a Paradigm 17-4 and I think that's probably pretty accurate. I think the 17-4 probably cuts a little closer with both being butter smooth.

I really, really wanted to like these razors because they are sexy, especially in the damascus materials. I think guys who like milder razors would adore this gear, it's just not my cup of tea. I really do appreciate the opportunity to play with these as they have been on my radar for a while. I'm a little disappointed I couldn't make it work for me...and it very well may have given enough time and practice. I'm just not one for delayed gratification nor squeezing performance from a razor.

I was hesitant to post my thoughts as I really didn't want to piss in the well...and hope this isn't considered such as I think there are far more mild than wild razor guys out there.

Well thank you very much for your honest thoughts because I value your opinion as well as the rest of the guys also.
One thing thing hit a chord so to speak, you said your stroke count was sky high , I've had those shaves from various razors. Personally when I have those long shaves that's when I can find some irritation, not to mention dinner getting cold (more of a night shaver).
They are fabulous looking razors, very nice. It seemed to me like they really hold the blade on out to the it's cutting-edge nicely.
Thank you sir LOOT for the thoughts

When I used SS "++" passaround razor, I found it had nice efficiency, but when I got my Ti "++", I didn't get efficient shave, even I added lots of pressure to Ti razor.
Then sold my Ti, and I don't know how I find SS "++" passaround razor efficient, since they have same head and I added more pressure to Ti.

Thanks for the affirmation. Now, I don't feel so bad posting my comments. Unfortunately, I have not had the opportunity to use the SS version so can't really comment. I also had to add pressure with it to get it through the lather. Something I'm not inclined to appreciate. The super light weight really didn't help the head, for me. The extra pressure and strokes didn't lead to any noticeable irritation. Just too much time and effort into the process. I would like to try a ++ ++ plate sometime.

If interested in this pass around, reply in this thread and tell us what state you reside in.

As with the usual DFS pass arounds, please keep the razor for a week and then pass it on to the next person on the list. Once you get time, share your thoughts on the razor, whether positive or negative. Please give the razor a quick bath in alcohol or something similar when you receive it and before sending it out.

**Please be courteous to Sean for sending us such an expensive razor kit to try and insure the package for $900 when shipping it to the next person on the list. This is mandatory. If you don't insure the package and we find out, you'll be barred from future pass arounds we put together on DFS.**
