After seeing this I'm in need of getting one. This is the "heavyweight" flared edge, not the regular with rolled edge correct?

Yes this is the flared edge heavier one. I can’t recommend it any higher. I sold off my 2 previous favorites when I got it

Does the lather get cold quick in that copper?

I keep it in hot water in the sink till I start and it doesn’t get cold.

I do the same. LOVE this bowl. Tied for my favorite purchase in 2018 along with the Game Changer.

This is a really functional product. I also keep mine in hot water in the sink as I shave. I empty the sink if it cools too much and renew the hot water. I pick the lathering bowl up with my thumb on the compass button and the bowl in the palm of my hand to work the lather with my brush. Once I have the lather prepared & my face lathered, the bowl, with the remaining lather, goes back into the sink with the hot water between passes to keep my lather warm.

I use it the same way. It's a fantastic addition to my den! Well built & very functional.
