I got lucky and got one, but honestly, the key is not to be upset either way. If it's soap. I don't alter my life to try. So they guys saying it's not worth a shot, I disagree. It is worth 2 minutes to try, if you are at home by a computer anyway. But I'm not canceling any plans to sit at home waiting for any soap or any razor. Is it the best soap I've ever used? No, but it is a good soap. And honestly, if you remember to remind yourself, this is ALL (not just bufflehead) just for fun, you won't find yourself getting upset. Happy shaving, gents.

I'm not upset at all. Like you said, this is just Soap. I'm not angry or even frustrated with the gentleman that makes Bufflehead, I'm happy for him that his soaps sell out so quickly. I know that soap making is a side gig for him, it's not his main source of income. I'm speaking for ME, not anyone else, it's not worth it to ME to try for his soaps again. I've tried five times with no luck, not a big deal. I'm spoiled rotten with all of the great soaps I have, I truly don't need any more. I'm not going to begrudge the gentleman that makes Bufflehead or get frustrated that I couldn't get any, and I'm sure it's not going to hurt his feelings that I don't make an effort to buy his soap again in the future. Too many wonderful things out there to get worked up over something as silly as soap!

I think that is a very fair view of the situation. Sounds like you have a very reasonable stance on this. And if you have some of the best soaps already, you aren't missing anything. As I mentioned this is a very good soap, but IMO, not quite top tier. But, I've enjoyed some of the other scents I've tried from bufflehead, so I figured I'd give this one a shot as well. But I'll be the first to put it up for trade if I don't love the scent. I keep my den to a quorum of things I love. I learned not to keep things based solely on hype Wink
Cheers.

I absolutely agree with this. I waited to check until two minutes after the announced release time, just to see if it was still available. I was at lunch with my family, checking on my iPad. I chuckled, closed up my tablet, and rejoined my family. I've got way too many nice soaps already. As good as it may be, I doubt very much I would notice a discernible difference...

Waiting for Kav for a nugget is like waiting for Godot or for that matter Bufflehead shaving soap. Shaving soap is not a matter of life and death, it is much more serious than that. Once heard, " The problem with instant gratification is it does not come soon enough." Shall we begin to list other beloved soap makers with inventory who could possible assuage our present conundrum/enigma/puzzle?

There a numerous soaps that perform superbly. Hunting-waiting-stressing for a difficult to obtain product is clearly a personal preference activity.

And yet I did none of that.

Some how, I just can't get bring myself to pursue this - there are simply too many elite tier soaps that I can get whenever I want.

I was gonna try for the last release, "Velvet Ditch" just for shiggles, but I already had something going on at the time so I missed it. I heard it sold out in literally a minute or two.

Yep, quite extremely ridiculous. Same goes for Talbot. I'll spend my money elsewhere rather than try and obtain something that is equivalent to winning the lottery. If "it's just soap" then it makes no sense for it not to be more widely available.
