Brush for paint strokes

I have 3 brushes, Shavemac 2-band silvertip 24x50, Muhle stf v2 23x56, Whipped Dog synthetic 24x56. I do like all three and find the Muhle to be the better one at giving up lather with paint strokes. I'd like to get a badger that is great for paint strokes and I am considering another Shavemac but with regular silvertip and 24x52-54, Thater 2band 24-26x52-55, and the new badgers that Stirling is coming out with in September. Do you have any suggestions?

To add I use artisan soaps such as Mike's, B&M, and Stirling. I tend to stay away from the ultra soft soaps / croaps.

Greg, I have heard some good things about the Stirling badger brushes. However, since I have I have never tried one, I would recommend the Thater 24x53mm to keep things in similar sizes with your others. However, the 26x56mm one would also work well.
It really depends on how much 'backbone' you want, so you can determine the loft with the respective sizes.
Thater 2-Bands are very nice and should work very well for paint-brush strokes as their backbone isn't very strong.

My whipped dog silver tip has been a solid brush.Gives up the lather great with paint strokes IMHO.Contact Larry at Whipped Dog,he will suggest a brush to suit your needs.Great customer service to boot as well!!!

I think what I am really asking here is a brush with a little floppiness but not like a wet mop.

This plus another. The current one has a bit too much loft for my taste but is still a great brush with decent backbone. Perfect for paint strokes and the price is unbelievable for the quality.

When the next additions to the line come out [26mm, fan, etc.] from ezlovan I plan on hitting them and hard.
