My blonde is similar to yours, less plush, more firm than my ultra soft Shavemac Silvertip 2-bands, but softer and gentler than my Shavemac D01 3-band.
Concerning the second topic in this thread, having never tried any of Lee's knots before, I chose in the only sensible way: I like the "Blonde Badger" label better than the Finest font.
You won't be disappointed with the finest. Mine is a bulb and I am glad it is. I think if it were a fan it might not have enough backbone. It took a little break in but us very soft now. I am very pleased with it.

Here you go:
GoHabs that's a beautiful brush. Love the tigris. I hope you are enjoying it.
I couldn't be happier! No buyer's remorse here. How does the finest compare to the blonde?
Based on my very limited experience, it does seem there is inconsistency with M&F both in terms of the nomenclature and in terms of the knots themselves. I have only bought two M&F brushes -- one was one of the initial M&F/Paladins, and the other a Blonde Badger I recently got from Brad. The former has the best, most unique hair I've ever experienced, whereas the latter I found to be a bit scritchy and less than comfortable. FWIW the knot in my BS brush looked similar to the Blonde in the OP's picture. I was a bit frustrated because I decided to change my order to Blonde after looking at a picture on this forum of a finished brush that looked exactly like the Finest brush in the OP's picture. Based on the OP's description of the two, I'd be tempted to roll the dice on a new Finest but once bitten, twice shy.

A finest on the left end and the rest are blonds. In use I can't tell much difference. The one who could answer these questions the best is probably Brad.
