Honestly, I'm not to up on my russian handles. I bought it from a guy here on BST from Nikolay Novikov

Hi Shane, two things, first congratulations on the impending birth of you and your wife’s first child. Awesome experience. You’ll be tired but still awesome. 

Second, bummer about the terrorist. So extortion is illegal right? And you know who this guy is? Sounds like the guy needs a visit from law enforcement. 

I hope life returns to normal. It’s never a good time to be ransomed but it sounds like this has been particularly inconvenient for you. 

Oh, one other thing (which makes three) I notice from this thread that you have been with DFS since almost the very beginning. Thank you for that.

Received an email from Shane last night and among the things he mentioned was that he and his wife are expecting their first child. I want to wish them both the very best of luck and happiness.

Appreciate the kind words! With that email I was mostly having fun with a frustrating situation. As far as things go, it’s not a big deal and I’m not stressed about it. We’ll keep tweaking to get things back up to full speed over the coming days/weeks. Terrorist is definitely a contractor not based in the US so there’s not much I could do, even if I was inclined to actually go after them. Better to put our heads down and focus on business than to wage war on my new enemy.

It’s always interesting to scan back a few years in the threads. There’s a wealth of information in there. Now you’re in the thick of things, in the arena as Roosevelt termed it and you likely don’t have much time to spend perusing old posts but trust me, there’s some good stuff in there. In the earlier years many more merchants/artisans were not only active on the forum but interactive, answering member’s’ questions, discussing shaving in general, product development etc. over the years many of those have dropped off for various reasons time being probably the biggest reason.  Time is a valuable commodity and they’re not making any more of it. You, however, are still here sharing and caring and for that the entire DFS community is grateful. Thank you. 

And I agree with you and Alan. Let it go and move on.  As for the terrorist, time wounds all heels.  I do sympathize somewhat with the plight of the little guy trying to get paid for their work but there’s better ways.
