My second shave with this razor, with a Feather Pro; the only AC blades I have.  They worked well with The General, but feel harsh with the Vector.

Again the shave felt rough, but the result was smooth and irritation free.  I think I'm going to order some other blades from tryablade.com today.

I'll know better how I feel about the Vector, after I try it with some other blades.  On this razor, the Feather Pro feels harsh but shaves smooth.

Until those blades arrive, I'll be using my other two razors; the Gem Clog-Pruf and the Gillette Tech (which works very well with Feather blades).

I'm hoping the Vector will work for me.  It's certainly a very well designed razor.  But if it doesn't, maybe I can trade it for a OneBlade V-1.

Smart move going for a sample pack of blades. AC blades vary a lot from one model to another so trying a few can be extremely helpful, even more so than DE blades.

Lovely photos, Alex and I don't mean to be condescending, but the more I see other handles on this razor head, the more the original handle compliments the razor head, aesthetically, in my humble opinion. Shane did a wonderful job designing it.
Maybe, I'll change my opinion after I get one and try my other handles on it. Smile
I hope you are enjoying the razor.

I agree with you, Celestino that the original handle is the perfect fit for the head. Shane's razors are superb and I have one (or more Angel ) of each of them. The photos were taken just out of curiosity and in my opinion they demonstrate the versatility of Shane's designs. And yes, I do enjoy the Vector and the shaves it delivers!

I think the Vector displayed in its matching stand is a work of art.

I really appreciate that. This is the impact I was hoping for. I design razors as one piece and I want it to be a cohesive unit that flows seamlessly from one part to the next.
