Making more progress. We're looking at having these available within the next few weeks. Top caps next week now that the necessary machine has been repaired.

LOOKING GOOD. What length handle will it have and will it be compatible with the Blackbird.

Hard to say. Maybe a bit like a toned down MMOC. I love the MMOC for its efficiency, but I find it to be a bit harsh on occasion. The Sabre is not designed to be overly aggressive.

It will have a new 85mm handle that will not be compatible with the Blackbird. Unlike the Blackbird, the Sabre will be compatible with other handles. Initially it will not be offered as a head-only option. The vast majority of the machining cost for the Sabre is in the head so keeping the razor as a whole is important for the financial side to work out.

So I would guess its in the ball park of Clog-proof aggressiveness, that's decent somewhat on the scale 7 if we rate the MMOC 10

That might be fair. Although I'm not sure I would consider MMOC a 10. I would just generally say that the Sabre is in the middle on the scale of aggressiveness. I've found that with a GEM blade you can make a highly efficient razor without having to make it very aggressive at all. That is the goal here: a balance between efficiency and comfort. The Sabre has a gap of 0.6mm and a slightly positive blade exposure.

As always, any time we discuss aggressiveness it's important to note that it is very subjective. What is mild to me could be aggressive to someone else or vice versa.

The Sabre is here and it shaves like an absolute dream! Perfect balance, moderate aggressiveness, and smooth as can be. The blade guards create an incredibly comfortable and safe experience, but are unnoticeable during the shave. The three-piece design is reliable, familiar, and as simple as can be while also allowing for optimal weight distribution by centering the head over the handle. Production has already begun and these should be available within the next two weeks. More details and better photos will be coming soon.

Shane, what I like about your head design over other makers, is that your head design will allow for proper blade alignment even with a de-spined GEM blade.
