Blackland DART

Once the sweet spot for the Dart is found it is definitely a smooth shaver.

I think Shane inadvertently made it seem like it's a harsh razor, or at least it was interpreted that way by many. It's too bad because the Dart is amazing and not harsh at all!

I don't think it's harsh; I think it's mild and really smooth. When it launched I was scared that I had made a better razor than the Blackbird for half the price. I get feedback basically every day that's it's harsh. So I think that's probably more valid than my personal opinion.

on my face it's fine, definitely less aggressive than my blackbird, but on my head....wowzers, I had to stop using it and switch back to my cartridge.

First huge Kudos to Maggards, I ordered the Dart Saturday morning and they had it to the PO Saturday afternoon and I received my polished Dart today. I had the machined version and sold it with the idea I would buy a polished one and never did till now. I just had a wonderful 2 pass plus a few touch ups BBS shave that was mindless and smooth. I was less than my normal 30 degree angle, so rode the safety bar and was rewarded with a great shave. Glad I picked up the polished version before they sold out.

I had a nearly flawless 2 pass shave with the Dart today as well.
2 days growth, Voshkod and Stirling Green soap and AS…with a dusty white handled Oumo 2 band fan.
For me, I do have to pay attention and take my time with the Dart…
Who doesn’t want a relaxing shave anyway??

Mail call! I'm glad I was slow moving this morning. The Dart arrived prior to me jumping in the shower and getting my shave on. 
What a shame this razor has been discontinued. I put one of the included Personna blades in the Dart, lathered up and began the shave. I paid no attention to angle. In use, it just feels automatic and natural. There is some blade feel, yet never once did it feel harsh. I completed my normal routine and am left with an exceptionally smooth face (and back of the neck too). 

I fail to understand why the Dart wasn't Shane's absolute best seller in his lineup. There's nothing about it that isn't premium except the price tag. Maybe some of you guys are right. Maybe it really was priced too low to gain respect in this strange little hobby of ours. 
However the Dart missed its mark (see what I did there?    ), it's unfortunate. I'm just glad I was able to snag one.
