I have been shaving with mine and I have been finding the razor to be excellent. I do have one "problem" with the baseplate, it seems to be scooping up all the lather prior to the razor. I think it may be my technique for now as I have not been shaving with it much (still love the efficiency of this thing!!!). Anyone else have similar...experiences? I don't want to use the term "issue" as it still shaves excellently. Maybe I am using the wrong angle or has anyone found a way to alter the baseplate to allow more lather to pass through?
I hope this doesn't turn anyone away from purchasing this, it is still an amazingly efficient and smooth shave. This was the first time I felt super impressed by using a razor.
Awesome job Shane & Blackland!!!

I believe there was an update recently. Correct? I'm guessing it ended up in my junk folder and being deleted. Could someone maybe forward me their update email?

I'm thinking about ordering one of these, based on the positive feedback that I've read (on this site, as well as the other usual suspects like B&B & TSN).  I do wish that there were a handle size in the middle of the two offerings.  ~85mm seems to be my sweet spot, and that's right in the middle of the two offerings.  I'm leaning toward the 70mm handle, at this point, but that does seem pretty short.  I do have a few handles that are 100mm, but they're a bit longer than I generally prefer.  Decisions, decisions...

A medium length handle might make the lineup in the future. In the meantime, if you try a handle and don't like it you can swap it out in the first 30 days for just the cost of shipping your handle back to me. That applies to US customers only.

Thanks, Shane.  That's certainly a generous policy.

I felt exactly the same way you do. I always preferred short to long, but like you, 85 was a sweet spot. 70 mm almost seemed like a travel handle when I ordered mine last year. I love it. It it nimble, the way it s bulbed out on the end catches my fingertip just right, and I was an instant fan.

Then I ordered a second BB and got the different finish with the long handle. I absolutely love that one too. I haven't had the long handle for enough shaves to pick a favorite yet, but at this point, I go with short. Gimme another few months.

Maybe Shane will come out with an 85, then I will buy that with whatever his next invention is.

Got my polished BB yesterday. I love it at the first sight and try (4-days beard, 3 passes, 95% BBS). I had The BB Gen1. I felt then that it has a great potential but resold it because of the sharp corners. Now with Gen2, one can get the best out of the BB. Truly, its a game changer. Thank you Shane for listening to users' feedbacks. I assume that they will be a mid length handle some day.
