Ageee! I have the machined and have used polished and they are exactly the same when it comes to glide.

I used to have the machined finish and I felt the drag, I don’t noice it at all with the polished finish.

I’m gonna have to go that route and try out the polished version it’s important to me since is one of my favorite razors.
Either SS polished or Brass polished.

This is another one of those YMMV situations. I own (3) Blackbirds (Machined, Polished and Jet). The Machined definitely has more drag than the other two IMO. Polished has the best glide and the Jet is very close in face feel to the polished.

You’ll be very happy then, the polish finish on the BB is ridiculously good, closest to a Wolfman level that I've seen.

Living on the edge
IMO Blackbird is hands down the most unique and meaningful designs to appear in a DE razor of late.

I enjoy every shave with it. Even tho my neck hair is like a steel wool scouring pad, and I feel resistance to the blade,
it has never cut me.

I have never used it every day though....has anyone else tried that?
