What The Blackbird Lite Is

The Blackbird Lite is a milder take on our flagship Blackbird razor. It’s the same unique Blackbird shave you know and love, now with less blade feel for a smoother, gentler experience.

To tone down the Blackbird, we designed a base plate that reduces both blade gap and exposure while retaining the unique experience that makes the Blackbird such a special razor.

Interesting, I'm sure Shane will sell a ton of these (and full razors as well). Even though I love my BB, I'll get one of these when he makes some titanium base plates.

I have 1 in polished and one in black. Will they be offering both, maybe  in just a base in both?

I'm satisfied with the original base plate and blade exposure. If it's working why fix it ? (just for me) 

Now if Shane were to go to the extraordinary measures of producing a run of long titanium Blackbird handles .... I'd be on that like a kangaroo !

In his email, Shane is saying " if you love your Blackbird and don't want something milder, don't buy this."
This one is for who found Blackbird too much blade feel. Lite still has positive blade exposure, it is mid-aggressive razor but with less blade feel. 

I wish he will bring 95  or 100 mm titanium handle too.
