[Image: QRfU2LT.jpg]Tonight I did a side by side of my Original Tradere OC V1 vs Blackland Tradere SB
Pre shave Hot shower
Brush SV Cadre Badger
Soap ETHOS Clean
Blade PolSilver Poland
AS Thayers Coconut & ETHOS clean
First Pass WTG. The OC has significantly more feel both of the combs and the blade. Rinse and feel both sides took down the majority of my 2 day beard a little more from the OC
2nd pass ATG. Again the SB felt a little smoother, neither skipped or gave blade chatter but the OC had a little
More feel not sure if it was the blade or the OC edge. Rinse and I was BBS on the OC side but needed slight touchup on the SB side under the Jawline and upper lip.
Both razors gave me an excellent shave the SB required a little touchup to get BBS but was definitely smoother.
The only criticism of the Blackland Tradere is the handle could
Use a little deeper grooves but I never felt like I would loose control of the shave
Shane has done an excellent job of reproducing the Tradere and I am very happy with this first shave.

The first sensations, excellent boxes, as always, are branded for this company. Great, no, great polishing of the razors themselves. look great. The fact that the handles are screwed without pads and the place where the handle touches the head is a little scratched was a little disappointing, but I can fix it myself. I got a branded sticker, I used it if you don't mind. I'm happy, thank you guys! success and prosperity to your production.

Your English is perfect, it’s the Christmas magnets on your fridge that has me concerned?! Cheers

thank you.

there is no merit in this, it is a translator. if I try on my own, they will put a diaper on me and put me in a stroller so that I can be trained again.

My parrot really likes a Christmas magnet. he uses it as a bedroom and as shadow boxing and as a gym and even as a wife. very versatile accessory. if I remove him, I will have to take part of his duties.

I was going to wait a little longer but after 11 shaves can give a preliminary review. The Blackland Tradere SB shouts quality and precision. It is a razor that is both aesthetically pleasing and functional. I’m a daily shaver and generally prefer a more mild razor. My most used razor has been a Timeless Titanium 0.68 SB and after speaking with Shane chose the SB rather than the OC to best meet my needs.

This razor is much different than the Timeless Titanium neither in a good way nor a bad way, just different. First the weight is much heavier and the handle significantly longer. The blade is held flat rather than flexed and while I don’t know what the gap is, it appears much bigger with perhaps slightly less blade exposure. The razor is much quieter than most of my other razors. As I said there are significant differences but not for the better or worse.

What became apparent was that light pressure with a light razor is not necessarily light with the extra weight of this razor. I also choked up on the handle effectively shortening it. Once I stopped fighting the handle length and extra weight, the razor began to shine. It is smooth and efficient with a shallow angle and at cost to efficiency feels like there is no blade on a very steep angle. I’m now comfortable with a neutral to slightly shallow angle and really enjoying a smooth and efficient razor.

In summary, getting used to the extra weight of the head and allowing the longer handle to provide good balance, this razor is a keeper. Looking at the beauty of the razor makes it even better. I have found that because of the high polish and look, I spend more time with a microfiber towel wiping off fingerprints and any other spots that might appear.

SM29, nice review.

I had the original Tradere SB, have an iKon S3S, have the original iKon SBS brass (much heavier than even the Tradere), and have a Pils, so for me shaving with heavy headed razors that hold the blade flat has become second nature. In fact, at this point, I feel like I prefer the feel/weight/balance of this type of razor over a traditional DE that is smaller, lighter, and bends the blade, although I can shave with either kind. I also think that large gap/little to no exposure heads suit me better than the blade-forward, small-gap razors.

As you use the razor more and more you may find that you come around to liking it even more.

Shavemd, nice review, nice photo, and gorgeous lather. That Ethos soap is pretty sweet.

I have an original Tradere OC, the new Blackland Tradere SB, the Ikon S3S and brass SBS. I also used to have a Pils with custom handle but sold it recently because the shave was too mild for me. Here’s a couple pics of the 4 side by side for comparisons. Original handles on the S3S and the new Blackland Tradere SB.
