Blackland announces new Tradere Razors

Quick threadjack......Shane, just curious. As a razor maker, do you use your own razors (I'm sure you do)? If so, do you have a favorite? Do you rotate among them? Is there one of them that you don't like? Do you use any razors made by other manufacturers?

You don't have to answer any of these questions if you don't want to. I was just wondering.

No worries about the thread jacking as far as I'm concerned. Not too much Tradere-related content until shipping starts later this week anyway.

I almost exclusively use my own razors. Lately I've been using prototypes more often than actual production razors. Probably 1/5 shaves is with something I sell and the rest is testing. Of production razors, my overall "favorite" is always a moving target. Right now I'm loving the Blackbird Ti and Vector, but the Dart has been my favorite off and on for years and the Tradere, Vector, and Sabre have had many periods on top. Unsurprisingly, every razor is my favorite in some category. I don't use the Sabre L1 very often because it's just not enough razor for me.

How about a titanium jet Tradere?

Shane, now that you are shipping the full razors, will you have the baseplates available anytime soon for those of us that have an original Tradere?  Also, will the Vector OC plate be available soon?

Individual base plates will probably not come until next year, if at all. Vector OC release is August as are black oxide Blackbirds and titanium Blackbirds. Dates are TBD because Traderes have to ship first.

Just a thought.  You could make the individual base plates without serial numbers so as not to disrupt the whole numbered thing.   Only complete razors would have serial numbers.

I'll announce pricing just prior to launch. It will be the most expensive Blackland razor, but in-line with other titanium razors.
