I've been wet shaving for more than 15 years and I have accumulated a massive amount of soaps, razors, and brushes over the years. Even with all that time and all I've spent on some very fine equipment, I think the last month of purchases has provided me with my favorite all-time gear.
Since the beginning of December, I've picked up the new Paradigm SS razor (which has become my favorite DE razor), the Sabre L2 (my favorite single edge razor), the Thater boar brush (a fantastic brush) and several Grooming Department and Jabonman soaps. It's been an embarrassment of riches and the best month I've ever had in wet shaving. I'm always looking forward to the next shave but lately that's been taken to a new level. These items have me seriously considering selling off most of the hundreds of other things I own.
