Hey guys, I've been getting into Fougere shave soaps lately and want to get a good Fougere alcohol splash and was hoping to get your opinions on the which one is the best. Obviously would like to get one that smells great but also is long lasting.

Thanks for any recommendations!

PAA has at least few different Fougere aftershave cologne splashes.

My perspective: Faberge Brut Lotion from the '70s. Yes, it's vintage and requires eBay stalking, but it's sublime. To my nose, vintage Brut, coupled with MdC Fougere shaving soap, is an amazing experience. I also endorse PAA splashes, fougere or otherwise.

Personally I think MdC Fougere is the best scent, but I had to sell it since it was very drying to my skin.
My current favorite is L&L Fougere.

Wholly Kaw’s Fougère Bouquet is pretty great. At first, it reminded me a lot of Brut 33 (which I’m not a fan of, and haven’t smelled in probably a couple of decades, by the way), but soon I started realizing the differences, and appreciating its complexity.

The splash is slightly mentholated, so it gives that cooling sensation but also messes a little with the initial scent. After the menthol is gone, the actual scent steps forward, and I can usually smell it about 2–4 hours later, depending on dosage and layering. I enjoy Fougère Bouquet more every time I use it.

Isn't Clubman considered a fougere? Tongue Also, Chatillon Lux TSM Fougere is a good one. Very "plant-like" with a peppery note to it.

I second wyze0ne 's recommendation of Chatillon Lux TSM Fougere - I just used it to follow up a shave with Soapmakers of Awesometown and its really nice.

Hmmm, I'm planning on buying Colbeck when it comes back out in May. Maybe I should just pick up a bottle TSM Fougere at the same time. I sure wish Manuel made Eufros splashes because I would buy his fougere splash in a heartbeat. The others that sound intriguing are PAA Deja Fougere and Wholly Kaw Fougere Bouquet. I have two PAA splashes (CaD & Al Fin) and like them a lot.

The quintessential barbshop scent is definitely a fougère, which I always love seeing since it always throws a big wrench into the "what REALLY is a barbershop" existential discussions that I enjoy even if the answer is as mysterious as how many licks it takes to get to the center of a Tootsie Pop.
