John, I believe there has been some kind of supply issue with Boellis, lately.

Ausliebezumduft in Germany is supposedly getting both the coffret and the refills in a few days. Not sure of shipping costs to the USA, though.

Edit. The refill is available now from Brummels of London, if that helps.

If you can find the older Cold River Soap Works Almond....that's a winner.

Thanks. However, Brummells charges the same price for 175g of the soap as everyone was charging previously for 250g.

my recommendation for almond soaps, the ABC and Valobra, both brilliant the Valobra being complete VFM

The best almond soaps in my den are:

1. Savon Des Volcans Bon Berger - Almond Cedar. Jus a fantastic soap, not pure almond, but just a fantastic soap.
2. Antica Barbierria Colla cream - frankly the cream is like a croap, and thre soap is harder, both are very good, not sure they actually contain tallow, but they shave like they have tallow in them
3. Boellia Panam 1942 - great almond scent, amazing performance
4. Cella - from the 1 kg brick, it's better than the softer cream in the red pot.
5. DR Harris Almond soap, smells more nutty than marzipan like to me, but performs great

Stirling Almond Cream is an excellent soap.
