Does anyone know whether the bay rum scent for Stirling or Mystic Water is similar to Mike's Bay Rum?

Mystic Water is very different to Mike's, and honestly different than anybody else's version. It's tough for me to pick out exactly what's going on in that, but I recall it was drier, smoother, and not nearly as spicy.

Stirling is in the same ballpark as Mike's, but I find it a bit better, as it incorporates some citrus notes of orange into the mix, and leaves out the vanilla, so you get something a little bit spicier and complex. Rod's Bay Rum is my favorite version of that scent, followed by Al's Calypso.

Stirling's definitely has more citrus notes to it than Mike's...

my favorite bay rum scent so far is from Krampert's Finest.

Thanks guys! I have Mike's and didn't want to add anything too similar. I may pick up Stirlings Bay Rum AS to compliment what I already have.

Mystic Water Bay Rum would be the better foil for Mike's, IMO.

I have to concur with what has been said; Mysic Water Bay Rum is quite unique and different to Mike's and Stirlings, and I prefer it much more.

I will put it this way: Mystic Water Bay rum is for bay rum lovers (me) and for bay rum haters (my wife). It has some sort of sweetness, smelling it for a long period of time makes me dizzy (in a good way)

Careful with Stirling's Bay Rum aftershave. It's got some burn to it! Don't get it if you don't like clove-y bay rums.

Really like that description! To me, it sounds like it's a very mellowed version of a bay rum.

That's actually a part of the problem...i honestly don't know if i like a clove-y bay rum Smile

Maybe I'll start with a sample the next time i order some bath soap. They also have a Bay Rum Witch Hazel, which I assume will be very similar to the AS.
