Nice, Mike.
Talk about the Tortola scent, please. I have read Frank's description, but would like another thought. Is it fruity? I like BR's that are spicy.
Thanks in advance.

Hi Joseph,

It is spicy underneath.  However it is quite fruity - I believe I pick up a strong mango/papaya front note.  Coconut is muted but it’s hard to get a strong coconut, with some pineapple and sweet orange or tangerine.

As it ages, some of the fruit is dying down in the soap and it’s evolving closer to a bay rum.  I sometimes use 75% Tortola and 25% Bay rum when I want it more traditional but I’m using it as is now.  The derby in the middle just rounds it out perfectly for me.

Terrific response, Mike. Thank you.

Here is a pic of the Tortola "Tropical" in Frank's warehouse from the original batch.

I lament the loss of Dr Jon’s Anne Bonny. BR with black tea is a great combination. Good thing i stashed a few tins before they closed.
