I'd probably pass on a mentholated bay rum as well...kind of takes away from the 'spicy' and warming nature of a bay rum, as Lesser noted above.

Well, I did try the cooling agent with a Bay Rum shave.  Used my usual mix of bay rums (as I've previously described in this thread, a combination of my three "faves", andrewjs18for a combined scent/longetivity), but this time added Icy Stare.  Did not work for me.  I think Bay Rum is a "warm" scent and the incongruity of the chill was too much.  So, my vote, Dragonsbeard, is a decided "no" on having a mentholated bay rum aftershave.

I DEFINITELY would not add any menthol into the product you're going to run but you could try sending some out in a separate bottle that people could add to their stuff when they want.

Menthol does not go with Bay Rum. That is like putting peanut butter on pizza. IMHO, bad combination. I am looking forward to Frank's take on Bay Rum.

No cooling agents in either one of my Bay Rums. I’m taking everyone’s advice on this. 

I will say they are both are ready it’s just that I’m in the middle of moving my locations so I can’t make anything until I’m in the new place and set up. 

I’ll definitely post when I’m getting close to its release.

I think letting people add their own cooling agents is the way to go. I don’t know if anyone has ever done a poll on cooling pro or con but I’m firmly in the con camp.
