I actually pulled out and used a Mike’s bay rum that I don’t think I’d touched for a year or two but knew was still around somewhere. Still an awesome shave.

I had a go with Tallow & Steel Indian Bay today.  I hope that qualifies.  It sure is a nice take on this theme.

It qualifies indeed. One of my favourites.

I’m glad you like it. It’s always a risk when you go by someone else’s recommendations but I’m beginning to think that we have similar tastes in bay rum. I still can’t explain why we don’t agree on Chiselled Face’s version Smile

Going further down the atomic pumpkin road you might like I Gingerbread Man which has obviously some ginger spice in and maybe a little burnt sugar but still in my opinion a decent bay rum. Blue Samhain goes over the top in the burnt sugar notes and while I do like it I’d recommend getting a sample if possible before committing to a bottle.

Then there’s Ray Rum The Shaving which is something else entirely. I don’t know if there’s any left but it’s worth a shot. You don’t hear much about it probably because it’s so limited in production. Only 50 sets last year and same this year I think.

I can say this, I’m grateful to PAA for their commitment to bay rum.

I shaved this morning with Mystic Water Bay Rum. One of my earlier bay rums and I like it now as much as I ever did. I scooped and bowl lathered it with a Semogue Galahad C3 blonde Decemboar brush and it whipped up beautifully. Three passes with the Rockwell 6s / Polsilver SI and topped it off with Thor’s Hammer Bay Rum aftershave. It’s a good day indeed  Happy2

So, cutting to the chase, why hasn't anyone made some Bay Rum EDT/EDP?  I think there would be a market for it.  Which bay rums that are on the market would you like to see in the EDP/EDT format?

Haters can keep their comments to themselves, we know how you feel.  Big Grin

I came across this one today no experience with it as I still haven't tried a Bay Rum soap or splash yet. It's pricey but with the EDP strength a little probably goes a long way.
