D.R. Harris Naturals Lemon & Vetiver

I'm a fiend for vetiver. Gotta have a snort every day. Having a nice bath soap is one very good way to get my fix. I generally prefer my vetiver on the smoky side. So, is that what we have here? Nah. This Lemon & Vetiver is, alas, no reeky mess. The root has been scrubbed and then perfumed with a light lemon & ginger cologne. If you're a fan of Tom Ford's Grey Vetiver edt, you might like this soap as well. It's mild, clean, and lovely, and even my wife loves it. I like it too, though I wouldn't mind a bit more smoke. It's a triple milled 200 g bar, so we'll get thirty to forty days out of it. Give it a whirl if you're addicted to the green weed. Remember though, it's mild.

Tommy, this Spiced Rum bled all over my tub and turned it yellow. So I cut in half and started using it as a hand soap next to the kitchen sink. Now it's turning that yellow, too. It's kind of a mess. And the scent? Smells like toasted pumpkin pie – an aroma I like, but not in a bath soap. I'm not sure I'm going to work my way through this bar.

You must be a fan of Cyril R. Salter French Vetiver shave cream. Very smoky lovely Vetiver scent. It would be nice in a bath soap.

I’m just finishing up a bar of Mitchell’s Wool fat bath soap. I will definitely buy another bar or five.  Happy2

Marko, you're absolutely right! I do love Salter's French Vetiver and its rich reek. I sort of wish the performance was better, though. I have a feeling that my pot of French Vetiver will eventually turn into a hand soap, but I won't regret at all. In fact, I've really liked using shaving cream for washing my hands. The lather is fantastic and the smells are just as good.
