For some reason, the scent stopped pleasing me and I felt the post-shower feel was a bit drying.  BUT a week ago, my wife was given a bar of Beekman soap and it's now become my favorite.  For me, it's a slight step above the PdP that has been sitting next to it in the shower -- just a touch richer and creamier.  Not much scent at all but that's fine with me.

Odd how life matters come full circle, imitating good literature and music (or perhaps reflecting the genius of artists harmoniously exposing the reality of human existence in their works).

Believe Beekman was the second soap reviewed in this thread dating back to 10 July 2017

Yes, I see.  And you're right about how things often come around and around.  Got to say I've been liking the Beekman.  But, as with the Dolce Vivere, I'm now believing that an extended trial is warranted for bath soaps.  It and the PdP are both large and will be sitting there on my shelf for a while since those big bars last a long time.  I'll report back probably in a month or two.....

There is a well regarded Japanese work: 'Hagakure', that extolls wisdom on such seemingly minor matters:

"Matters of great concern should be treated lightly.” Master Ittei commented, “Matters of small concern should be treated seriously.".

I just recently finished using a locally made bath soap that may become a bath soap sold under the DFS name in the near future.

the new bath soap I opened about a week ago is a bar of ethos success. the bar lathers easily and it probably produces the creamiest lather I've ever used in a bath soap and I've used 100s of artisan bath soaps..

I've thoroughly enjoyed Shannon's Shave Soaps for the past few years but this is the 1st time I've tried the bath soap.
